The Cranston Cleanup Event is back on! Set aside Saturday, 31 July from 9 am to 2 pm for this event. The event will be held at the Century Hall parking lot. Please enter by the main entrance off Cranarch Road. Vendors include:
- City of Calgary Waste Management Division (garbage and organics)
- Donovan Enterprises (metals)
- Shanked Computer Recycling (electronics/small home appliances – scri.ca )
- Cerebral Palsy Alberta (small household items – cpalberta.com )
- Calgary Reads (children’s books – calgaryreads.com )
Please go to the vendors’ websites for a list of acceptable/not acceptable items.
*****If you would like to volunteer to help at the cleanup event, we would be most happy to see you there! Please use the “Contact Us” link on the website or you can send an email at firstname.lastname@example.org . Thanks in advance!*****
If you have small home appliances (mixers, microwaves, blenders, bread makers, etc.) that are no longer working, bring them to the cleanup event and drop them off at Shanked Computer Recycling. This is a fundraising opportunity for the Cranston Community Association, so your participation is appreciated greatly – thanks in advance!
The cleanup is for household items only – no construction material and no commercial contractors please!
Finally, please note that although the provincial regulations due to COVID-19 have been lifted, please consider wearing a mask when you are outside of your vehicle. As well, please bring enough help with you to unload your items as the volunteers and vendor staff will not assist. See you there!
